Pousada Solar dos Ventos' history begun in 1989, when the proprietor, a reformed Aeronautic Major and his family, converted one room of their main residence facing Baía do Sueste (Sueste Bay) to receive tourists.
In the same year, the civil government of Fernando Mesquita supported the creation of domiciliary inns, when Pousada Solar dos Ventos was created, initiating its activities in the tourism branch by offering only two beds. With the passing of the years, individual bungalows were constructed, permitting total privacy to its guests.
Today, Pousada Solar dos Ventos is formed by eight private bungalows and a main house and it is known as one of the best inns in Fernando de Noronha.
