1° Day - Island Tour
The island tour is very interesting and it is intended for those who have only a few days on the island and for those who want an overview of the island so that they can sit back, relax and enjoy their favourite places during the rest of their stay.
The tour begins very early, at about 8.00, and finishes after sunset.
Single participants may join a group. If there is a group of three or persons, a personalised tour can be drawn up.
The participants will be accompanied by guides well-trained by IBAMA. They are an interesting lot, with many tales about the island. Some of them are true stories and some are legends. Real or legend, the stories are very interesting and well narrated by the guides.
2° Day - Boat Ride
The boat rides are also quite popular. There are embarkations leaving from Porto Santo Antonio every morning and afternoon.
The boat rides take from three to three and a half hours, going from Porto Santo Antonio to the secondary islands (Rasa, Sela Ginete, Meio and Rata) and then returning to the other end of the island, known as called Ponta da Sapata.
Incredible landscapes can become even more interesting with the spinning dolphins doing their acrobatics near the embarkation points. The climax of this ride is when the boat passes close to Golfinhos Bay, where the animals spend the day resting before hunting at night.
On the way back, there is a break for free diving at Praia do Sancho, considered the most beautiful beach in Brazil.
3° Day - Pontinha / Pedra Alta Trail
Starting at Caieira Beach, this trail passes through three natural pools, including Atalaia. It is a 4.2 km long trail, with approximately 1 km on loose stones. This stretch is the only access by land to some points on the island, and it has a wonderful panoramic view of the outer sea. A local guide accredited by IBAMA must accompany participants on this trail. It is recommended that this trail is undertaken at low tide, to enjoy it the best.
4° Day - Horseback Riding
There are some great options for horseback riding on the island. Although the trails are usually difficult to access, they show the best landscapes of the island.
Capim Açu trail, considered the most difficult, is the most beautiful trail. On foot, it takes five to six hours to cover this trail; on horseback it takes only three hours.
5° Day - Discovery scuba Diving
This is a great introduction to the wonderful underwater world of diving. After the introductory lesson, participants can sit back and enjoy an underwater baptism, one of the most popular diving activities on the island!
After a brief theoretical class while navigating to the diving point, participants will have some time for adaptation, at the surface. Always with an instructor and totally equipped, participants can float with the face in the water, to get accustomed to breathing only through the mouth. After getting adapted, the participants will be ready to go down!
The instructor will maintain physical contact during the whole dive. The maximum depth that will be reached is 15 m and the duration will be 30 min (not including the adaptation).
The underwater baptism operations are usually held in the afternoon.
