1° Day - Boat Ride
The boat rides take from three to three and a half hours, going from Porto Santo Antonio to the secondary islands (Rasa, Sela Ginete, Meio and Rata) and then returning to the other end of the island, known as called Ponta da Sapata.
Incredible landscapes can become even more interesting with the spinning dolphins doing their acrobatics near the embarkation points. The climax of this ride is when the boat passes close to Golfinhos Bay, where the animals spend the day resting before hunting at night.
On the way back, there is a break for free diving at Praia do Sancho, considered the most beautiful beach in Brazil.
2° Day - Discovery Scuba Diving
This is a great introduction to the wonderful underwater world of diving. After the introductory lesson, participants can sit back and enjoy an underwater baptism, one of the most popular diving activities on the island!
After a brief theoretical class while navigating to the diving point, participants will have some time for adaptation, at the surface. Always with an instructor and totally equipped, participants can float with the face in the water, to get accustomed to breathing only through the mouth. After getting adapted, the participants will be ready to go down!
The instructor will maintain physical contact during the whole dive. The maximum depth that will be reached is 15 m and the duration will be 30 min (not including the adaptation).
The underwater baptism operations are usually held in the afternoon.
3° Day - Tow Diving
Tow diving was actually invented in Fernando de Noronha. It uses the same equipment used in free diving, just a mask, snorkel and fins.
Holding a small board and towed by a small motorboat participants will be able to experience the sensation of flying and also manoeuvring the board to turn, go up and down. It depends on the breath.
A small theoretical class is given on board, to familiarise the participants with the procedures and signs used to communicate with the motorboat.
It is different from snorkelling because one can cover a much larger area than can be done if there was only swimming with fins.
4° Day - Snorkelling
Fernando de Noronha is considered one of the five best diving points in the world. Besides the rich fauna and flora, other factors contribute to this. These include visibility that easily reaches 30 to 40 meters, pleasant water temperature - about 27ºC - the whole year, and calm water without waves most of the year.
Almost all the activities on the island include diving. There are many perfect natural pools for practice. Almost all the trails include diving in these swimming pools or even on the beaches such as Sancho, Baía dos Porcos, Sueste and Morro de Fora, between Conceição and Meio, and even Porto Beach where there are two shipwrecks that hide many burrows of lobsters, guajás (Calappa ocellata) and an enormous amount of fish of different species.
Participants can go diving with a partner; however it is easier and more entertaining to do it with a guide registered by Ibama, for these are experts who know each beach and burrow as nobody else does.
Assistance in English is not available.
